Product Upgrade - Email
Spam Filters
We have launched a new email security initiative
with Cloudmark Inc., a leader in Carrier-Grade Spam,
Virus Filtering and Phishing solutions. This initiative
reflects our ongoing efforts to provide best-in-class
solutions to our customers.
Throughout the week of July 26, 2010, we will be
upgrading the current Spam, Anti-Virus and Phishing
solution, with the Cloudmark Inc. solution. This
upgrade will be hosted and managed entirely within
our existing Email platform.
During this transition you may notice an increase
in your amount of incoming spam, both tagged and
untagged. If you access your mail via Webmail, you
can click on the "Report as spam" button
from your mailbox to help our new system "learn".
If you download your Email, please just delete any
problem Spam for now. With time, the system will
learn and you will notice a gradual decrease in these
problems.
Key benefits of this upgrade include:
1. Seamless Transition: customers will enjoy an upgraded
spam, virus and phishing solution without any disruption
to email services. All user settings and interfaces
will remain the same.
2. Enhanced Inbound Filtering: Increased protection
for customers from inbound spam, virus and phishing
threats.
3. Improved Efficiency: Industry-leading responsiveness
and accuracy reducing overall false positive and
negative rates.
4. Improved Customer Satisfaction: Higher accuracy
rate ensures spam gets filtered out while intended
messages are safely delivered to customers, as the
improved learning engine allows customers to more
easily submit false positives and negatives to be
correctly identified as spam or not spam.
The new
system is very adaptive, so for the next little while
it will be a work in progress. The more users tag
malicious emails, the more our system will be able
to adapt to the different spamming techniques, and
work better in the future. Over time, the SPAM system
will be working great, and consistently rejecting
the correct emails.
