Email/Spam/Virus Advisory

Please be advised that a new type of Spam Email is making the rounds. Below is a sample of the Email message:

We are contacting you in regards to an unusual activity that was identified in your mailbox. As a result, your mailbox has been deactivated. To restore your mailbox, you are required to extract and run the attached mailbox utility.
Best regards, hostsellers.com technical support.
------- END --------

A ZIP file is attached to this spam.

Here is another variation that we received ourselves:

Dear owner of the domains@hostsellers.com mailbox,

You have to change the security mode of your account, from standart to secure. Please change the security mode by using the link below:

http://accounts.hostsellers.com.verzzq.co.uk/ webmail/ settings/-removed-

HostSellers will NEVER send you any sort of attached file in such an Email. Nor will we ever ask you to provide any private information, especially your username or password.

If you contact us, we will ask you to verify yourself by providing your own password but since you contacted us, this would be our only way of verifying you. If, however, we contact you, we have no need for you to verify yourself -- as is the object of such spam Emails and attached files.

DO NOT RUN ANY FILES ATTACHED TO SUCH AN EMAIL!

Always run anti-virus software on your computer. Do not run or open Email attachments if suspicious. Never provide your access passwords to anyone else, regardless of who they claim to be. If in doubt, contact us at the information provided on our Website.
